Join us in celebrating and building on Jamestown’s first 40 years! As you know, we believe that every child deserves to be part of the Jamestown family. Many of our past participants now lead programs at Jamestown; others serve on the agency’s board of directors; and still more are driven towards serving their community and other parts of the country. Jamestown played a key role in shaping these leaders.
After 40 years of providing Mission District youth and families with high-quality programs, the Jamestown Community Center is committing itself to ensuring that more neighborhood youth grow into productive and healthy adults. As such, the Jamestown Board and Council have set a goal of serving an additional 150 children by August 2013.
Currently, Jamestown serves 500 youth ages 0-18. Still, there are many more youth who could benefit from participating in Jamestown’s after-school and summer programs. We want to give them that opportunity.
In order to do so, Jamestown will raise $140,000 over the next two years. We want all stakeholders involved, and will be approaching private foundations and corporations, former Board and staff members, and other individuals to help us reach this goal. Together, we are sure to succeed.
For every $4,000 pledged to our 40th anniversary campaign, we'll add a candle to the cake.
